BookMyShow has filed an FIR against Coldplay black tickets being sold and has revealed that they are looking into cracking down on a way to cancel these tickets. Furthermore, the platform informed that the Coldplay India Concert won't be cancelled and will happen as planned.
If you are one of those who got Coldplay tickets for India concert in 2025 through the black market, here's some bad news for you. All the black tickets are likely to be cancelled soon, reveals BookMyShow which had exclusive rights to sell the passes. The platform also confirmed that the concert will not be cancelled. However, it is looking into cracking down the unathorised sale.
Coldplay black tickets to be canceled
In a statement, the company said it is assessing the potential of cancellation of tickets that are being sold "unethically". Not just that, BookMyShow has also filed an FIR over black marketing of Coldplay concert titled Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India tickets. The First Information Report was filed on October 2. This comes after an official complaint was registered with the Mumbai Police on September 23 in the same regard.

BookMyShow furthermore revealed that it has already given the details of all the resellers that came to their attention to the Police, This also includes details of independent individuals reselling tickets across social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms like Viagogo, Stubhub Holdings among others to aid authorities in a thorough investigation. "We remain vigilant in monitoring such instances of ticket reselling for this tour through black market channels and will continue to share all relevant information with the authorities to ensure appropriate action is taken," it said.

The platform has furthermore ensured the fans that the concert will not be cancelled. This comes after rumours spread like wildfire that amid the black market scam which sold tickets for higher prices - as high as Rs 9-10 lakhs for one ticket - Coldplay 2025 concert might be cancelled in India. It has been confirmed that the show will happen as planned and the British Rock band members will perform at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21.
Coldplay confirms retirement
Amid the black ticket sale scam in India, the band has announced its retirement after 12th album. The band has released its 10th album today. "
There¡¯s only seven Harry Potters. There¡¯s only 12 ? Beatles¡¯ albums, there¡¯s about the same for Bob Marley, so all our heroes," said Chris Martin also confirming that while the band will retire, they will continue to collaborate with each other on projects.
