Daaku Maharaaj: Nandamuri Balakrishna¡¯s film won¡¯t get a sequel but there¡¯s a twist

Nandamuri Balakrishna¡¯s Daaku Maharaaj hit the screens on Sunday, January 12, much to the delight of movie buffs. The Naga Vamsi-produced action thriller received rave reviews with critics praising the performances and the screenplay. It is also expected to take a good start at the box office. Now, the makers have opened up about the possibility of taking the franchise forward.
Naga Vamsi wants to make a prequel to Daaku Maharaaj
Naga Vamsi, who was recently in the limelight when he claimed that Bollywood is unable to make films for the masses, is in the limelight because of his latest film Daaku Maharaaj. The film premiered in theatres today, giving Balakrishna fans a reason to rejoice.
In a recent interaction with the media, Naga Vamsi was asked if he plans to make a sequel to the film. The producer ruled it out. He, however, revealed that the team is planning a sequel.
¡°There is a statue showcased in the film without the head. We are planning to do a film on it with a hero, as a prequel to Daaku Maharaaj. The plans are underway, ¡° he was quoted as saying by Gulte, an entertainment portal.
Interestingly, his remarks suggest that Balakrishna won't be part of the planned project.
