Fans slam Chhaava's music, call AR Rahman 'overrated': 'Yeh Lagan Lagi gaane ka background music kyu laga diya'
Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, is doing well at the box office, but A.R. Rahman's music for the film has left fans unimpressed. Many have called the soundtrack forgettable and lacking the impact needed for a historical epic.

The recently released film Chhaava on Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, led by Vicky Kaushal, has taken the box office by storm and is on track to become this year's biggest hit. However, while the movie is winning over audiences, one aspect isn't¡ªOscar winner A.R. Rahman¡¯s music score, which has left fans disappointed.
The soundtrack of Chhaava, featuring songs like Jaane Tu, Aaya Re Toofan, and Zinda Rahey, has left audiences unimpressed, with many calling it forgettable.
Some fans believe composers Ajay-Atul would have been a better choice for the film's music.
One social media user remarked, "Music adds a lot to the movie and Ajay -Atul knows very well to do that especially for period films. Chhaava definitely missed them."

Chhaava definitely missed them
Ajay-Atul have worked in Bollywood movies like Agneepath and Singham amongst others, apart from many Marathi films.
Another pointed out that certain background music in the film resembled the tune from Lagan Lagi, the hit song from Tere Naam.

Even Rahman's own fans weren't entirely convinced.
One admitted, "I'm a Rahman superfan, but I definitely feel Ajay-Atul would have been a much better choice for this film. They could have taken it to the next level. Rahman was just mediocre¡ªno goosebumps."
Now, Rahman lobby will say Ajay Atul are doing PR and putting their name forward and bringing Rahman down. I am a Rahman superfan myself..but I definitely feel Ajay Atul would be much better for this film..Could have taken it to next level..Rahman was just mediocre..no goosebumps

Others were more blunt in their critique. "I firmly believe A.R. Rahman¡¯s music is often overhyped," wrote one user, while another added, "Unpopular opinion¡ Rahman has maybe 2-3 movies where he completely nailed it. The rest? Underwhelming or totally forgettable."
I firmly believe sometimes AR Rehman¡¯s music seemed very over hyped.
