Game Changer: Netizens accuse makers of Ram Charan¡¯s film of faking day 1 bo figures by Rs 100 crore, call it ¡®big shame¡¯

According to trade tracking websites, it grossed Rs 85 crore globally on the first day. However, the producer's figure was quite different. The team even shared the 'official' figure with a poster. Unsurprisingly, this upset netizens and they trolled the team.

Shankar¡¯s Game Changer, which opened in theatres on January 10, has landed in controversy on the second day itself. The makers claimed that it grossed Rs 186 crore on its first Friday. However, most trade websites reported that the figure is around Rs 86 crore. This created a great deal of buzz among netizens and they took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their views on the matter. One user called it a 'big shame' to the Telugu film industry. Another pointed out that the makers of films such as Devara and Pushpa 2 too were accused of doing something similar when their films were released
