In an interview with TOI, Karan Veer Mehra revealed how much he wanted to lift the trophy. He also said that he went numb when his name was announced as the winner by show's host Rohit Shetty. For a few seconds, he couldn't comprehend what was going on and that he was almost going faint.

In an interview with Filmygyaan, Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14 winner Karan Veer Mehra, "I find it very stupid. I found him a tough competition. He was so strong that he could have replaced me as the winner of the show, sitting in the position where I am now. But, he was the first one to be eliminated because of his attitude. So, I request his near and dear ones and family to bring him to mother earth, giving a reality check."

Saying that he felt bad that Gashneer Mahajani not winning the show as he had all the "ingredients", he said he didn't demonstrate "presence of mind" and rather focussed on "how he looked while doing the stunt." He added that he was just unlucky.
