Watch Kate Winslet's Perfect Response To Her Teacher Who Told Her To Settle For Fat Girl Roles!
It's amazing to see how far Kate Winslet has come since her Titanic days, and how she has grown up and evolved as an actor and most importantly as a person. She recently won a Bafta award for her supporting act in the Michael Fassbender starrer Steve Jobs. It was Winslet¡¯s third Bafta win after she took home awards for Sense and Sensibility and The Reader in 1996 and 2009 respectively. She managed to beat competitors like Julie Walters and Rooney Mara. She dedicated her award to women who have suffered criticism.

She talked about her initial days when she was asked by her drama teacher that she'd be better off if she settled for the fat girl parts.
"When I was younger, when I was 14, I was told by a drama teacher that I might do OK if I was happy to settle for the fat girl parts. So what I always feel in these moments is that any young woman who has ever been put down by a teacher, by a friend, by even a parent, just don¡¯t listen to any of it, because that¡¯s what I did ¨C I kept on going and I overcame my fears and got over my insecurities."
Seems like she was totally spot on there! You can watch her talk about it, right here.
