In a shocking turn of events, television actress Aditi Sharma and her husband, Abhineet Kaushik, are heading for a divorce merely four months after their secret wedding. The couple, who had been in a live-in relationship for years, tied the knot on November 12, 2024, in an intimate ceremony at their Goregaon residence, keeping the marriage under wraps due to Aditi's career concerns.
Abhineet revealed that he was initially reluctant to marry, but after Aditi's persistent persuasion over a year and a half, he agreed to the secret wedding. He managed her professional commitments, social media collaborations, and public appearances, often posing as her manager to support her career.
Real reason behind Aditi Sharma¡¯s divorce
The relationship took a dramatic turn when Abhineet accused Aditi of having an affair with her Apollena co-star, Samarthya Gupta. In an interview with India Forums, he, along with his lawyer Rakesh Shetty, alleged that Kaushik caught Aditi and Gupta together, leading to intense confrontations and legal complications. Aditi reportedly dismissed their marriage as a ¡®mock trial¡¯.
The situation worsened with allegations of a ?25 lakh settlement demand from Aditi's family for the divorce. A heated altercation ensued, involving physical confrontations and police intervention. Shetty said, ¡°They insisted on a divorce, and during a lawyer-arranged meeting, Aditi¡¯s side demanded 25 lakh. Things took a violent turn when her father slapped Abhineet, and Aditi got hurt in the scuffle.¡±
Both parties have filed non-cognizable complaints, and the couple has since vacated their shared 5 BHK residence. As of now, Aditi Sharma, who has been a part of shows like Kaleerein, Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka!, Rabb Se Hai Dua, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and Apollena - Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan, has remained silent on the matter.
