Mahesh Babu Clarifies His Bollywood Remarks, Says It Was 'Blown Out Of Proportion'
Mahesh Babu recently made a controversial statement wherein he said that Bollywood can't afford him. Now he has given a clarification.
Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu got entangled in controversy for his comment last week when he was asked about plans for making his debut in the Hindi film industry. During one of his interactions with the media, the actor said, ¡°Bollywood can¡¯t afford me", which has raised eyebrows.
The actor also expressed that he would not want to waste his time in as he enjoys the top position in the Telugu film industry. The south Indian actor's comment went viral on social media and many Bollywood fans slammed Mahesh Babu saying that the actor belittled Hindi cinema.

However, the actor has now given a clarification to his remarks and said that he loves cinema and respects all languages amid the ongoing controversy. The actor's team released an official statement regarding his latest comment. The note read that Mahesh Babu's comment was blown out of proportion and did not mean to belittle other languages, according to media reports.
The 46-year-old actor, who is also known as Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu said, "I have always wanted to do Telugu films. And I have always wished for Telugu movies to do well across the country. I strongly feel, why should we go to another industry by leaving ours behind? I am very happy that our films are reaching there (in North India). Our movies are doing well at the pan-India level and my dream is coming true.¡±
Moreover, Mahesh Babu often gets asked about his possible Bollywood debut. ¡°I don¡¯t need to do Hindi films. I can just do a Telugu film and it¡¯ll get seen all over the world ¨C that¡¯s what¡¯s happening right now. You¡¯d want to be in a position to do (only) a Telugu film,¡± the actor had said when asked the same question earlier, as per reports.

Apart from creating a controversy, Mahesh Babu's Twitter account shows that he is also busy with other projects. The actor has featured in the cover photo of The Peacock Magazine. Mahesh Babu's Upcoming Movies
On the work front, Mahesh Babu will next feature in SS Rajamouli's larger-than-life magnum opus, which is yet to be titled. The adventure flick is set to go on floors in 2023 as revealed by writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, who spilled the beans about Mahesh Babu's new project. The Spyder actor will also be seen in another movie directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Meanwhile, the superstar is awaiting the release of his film Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Directed by Parasuram, the movie stars Keerthy Suresh, Vennela Kishore, Samuthirakani, and Subbaraju among others. The film will hit theatres on May 12, 2022.
