We demand an immediate ban on #HaftaVasooli airing on Jio Hotstar! In this show @munawar uses foul language, which is unacceptable for public viewing. It sinks moral values. Streaming platforms must act responsibly! @JioHotstar @MIB_India #JioHotstar_Ban_HaftaVasooli¡ pic.twitter.com/NZpvlUtiOQ

In a tweet on X, they wrote, "We demand an immediate ban on #HaftaVasooli airing on Jio Hotstar! In this show @munawar uses foul language, which is unacceptable for public viewing. The first episode of Hafta Vasooli aired on February 14, with Sharib Hashmi and Vivian Dsena as guests. The second episode starred Saqib Saleem.
The prohibition came after the issue surrounding Samay Raina's India's Got Latent. It all began when Ranveer Allahbadia, nicknamed BeerBiceps, a guest, questioned a contestant during a segment, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?" His remark provoked anger, prompting many FIRs against him for his vulgar statement, with the case reaching the Supreme Court of India and Parliament. Samay eventually removed all of the show episodes from YouTube.
Meanwhile, on January 2, 2021, Munawar and four other stand-up comedians were detained for allegedly offending religious sensitivities and breaking COVID-19 rules. He was given bail after 35 days in detention.
