Nick On Singing For MM
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at an event, Nick talked about his baby daughter and was asked if he ever serenades her with any of his Jonas Brothers' songs. Responding to the question, he said, "I sing to her. You know, I love to sing to her, and yeah, it's beautiful."
He added, "I'm singing just a lot of you know old classics. My wife kind of plays her more of the stuff that's on the iPod or whatever, but I sing."

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcomed their baby girl, Malti Marie, in their lives in January this year. The baby was born premature and was kept at the NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) of the hospital in Los Angeles. After more than a hundred days, the couple finally got to take the baby home and celebrated their first Mother's Day with the little one.
Nick had appeared as a guest at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon a couple of days back and opened up about their Mother's Day celebrations at their home. Talking about the same, he revealed that they got a citrus tree that he will be planting soon in his home.
"It was her first one, so did a little thing at the house. Got her a citrus tree that I'm going to plant this week," he said. When asked if there was any particular significance of the Citrus tree, Nick had said, "New life, new things and the beauty of citrus trees." The popstar also added that they dance to a lot of Bollywood songs at home and he finds it is the 'easiest to dance to'.
He said, "My wife Priyanka, she is Indian. We dance to a lot of Bollywood music coz I find it is the easiest to dance to. I could just Ą (pumps his arms)Ądo this move all the time, whether I am sitting or standing and it works."

On the occasion of Mother's Day, Nick had shared a long note revealing how they got Malti Marie home after over a hundred days. He also called his wife, Priyanka Chopra, 'an inspiration' and an 'incredible mother'.
His note read, "On this MotherĄ¯s Day we canĄ¯t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster weĄ¯ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every familyĄ¯s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.
"We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady ChildrenĄ¯s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. LetĄ¯s get it M! Mommy and Daddy love you.

The name Malti has its origins in Sanskrit and is a popular name in India. Malti means moonlight or small fragrant flower. As for Marie, the name has Latin origins and is derived from Stella Maris, meaning Star Of The Sea. It also has a biblical connection as Mother Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, is called Stella Maris as well.
