In the film, Ridhi Dogra's character of SRK's adoptive mother is named Kaveri Amma. Did it ring a bell? It's a popular character from Ashutosh Gowariker's Swades. Played by Kishori Ballal, Kaveri Amma was again his non-biological mother in the 2004 movie as well.
2. Reference to 2017 Gorakhpur hospital deaths

We all saw how our healthcare system nearly collapsed during the second wave of Covid-19. Taking a dig at that, Jawan references Gorakhpur hospital deaths in which more than 60 children died of encephalitis due to government negligence in supplying oxygen. Dr Kafeel Khan had then tried to save the children by buying oxygen with his own money. He was hailed by the citizens, too. Still, later, he was charged with dereliction of duty and engaging in private practice by the government, leaving him bankrupt before finally getting acquitted in 2019. Sanya Malhotra's character, Dr. Eeram, who is wrongfully framed by the authorities to cover up a similar failure, will remind you of Dr. Kafeel Khan.

5. The Matrix reference
The character of Kalee, played by South superstar Vijay Sethupathi, who people say can even sleepwalk over a villainous role and still ace it, always keeps two pills with him. The red one for himself helps him maintain his blood pressure, and a blue one for his enemies as it causes instant death. Was he channelling his inner Keanu Reeves?
6. The Farmers' Suicide
The film subtly addresses the issue of farmers' suicide, which remains a grave issue despite the repeal of the Farm Bills. In the movie, SRK emerges as the messiah who takes money from the rich and distributes it among the farmers facing harassment to repay the loans.

"Bete ko haath lagaane se pehle baap se baat kar" - the most punchy and seeti-maar dialogue from Jawan was a dig at Sameer Wakhende? He even mouthed the same dialogue in Dubai during Jawan celebrations, saying, "To all the parents here, bete ko haath lagane se pahle baap se baat kar (Before touching the son, talk to the father)". That was perhaps a reference to the Aryan Khan-NCB case.

Shah Rukh Khan's monologue, which has already become politician's favourite to take a dig at each other's parties, was a passionate appeal to everyone to exercise their vote responsibly. The AAP party is already claiming that before Shah Rukh Khan, Arvind Kejriwal delivered the same monologue.
