"Kadhalikka Neramillai had a below-average outing at the box office. The film grossed around ?18 cr worldwide," he told Indiatimes.

The film catered primarily to an urban audience, which restricted its reach. It also faced stiff competition from Madha Gaja Raja. Vishal's action comedy emerged as a blockbuster and overshadowed the other releases.
