The Bhaijaan of Bollywood who has often said that he loves 'Ghar ka khan' and spending time with his family usually celebrates the occasion with his near and dear ones only. After his brother Arbaaz's second wedding recently, he will likely cut the cake with only friends and family members. Ahead of his birthday, Salman Khan was spotted at Mumbai airport. He returned to spend time with his family.

1. DDLJ
You won't believe the iconic movie DDJL was one of the films rejected by Salman Khan, the superstar who is celebrating his 58th birthday today. The legendary rom-com of Bollywood ultimately went into his friend Shah Rukh's kitty.
2. Chak De India
Can you imagine Salman mouthing the iconic sattar minute dialogue? A lot of people say he didn't like the climax of the movie. Salman himself revealed, "When I was offered Chak De, my image for totally different as I was doing Partner and all those kind of films. My only thing in Chak De was that my fans would expect me to wear a wig and win the match for India which would not go for the film. That was not my genre at that point of time. It was more serious kind of film and I was doing more of a commercial kind of cinema which I am still doing. I would never move out of the commercial cinema zone but it is just that there would be a lot of meaningful cinema in the commercial zone."
3. Baazigar
Another movie rejected by Salman Khan is Baazigar. Salman took advice from his father after Abbas-Mustan approached him for this film. Since his father felt that the role was negative, he turned it down.
Not just him, even Saif was the first choice. If reports are to be believed, he took his father Salim Khan's advice on this one and he suggested that the film would show him in negative light. He even suggested the makers to add a mother's angle to soften the antagonist." Both the brothers laughed at us, saying that this is very cliche. This was Dad¡¯s suggestion that he is doing this for his mother. Anyway, we left the film and Shah Rukh Khan signed the film¡ After the entire film was completed, they called me and said that mother idea that you had, we are adding to the film. Thank you very much," Salman revealed on The Kapil Sharma Show.
4. Kal Ho Na Ho
Not Shah Rukh khan, Salman who is celebrating his 58th birthday today was offered the role of Aman in Kal Ho Na Ho - the role that later went to Saif Ali Khan. Why he rejected it? Rumour mills suggest he didn't want to play second fiddle to the King Khan once again.

Can you imagine birthday boy Salman Khan playing Max in Josh? While no one knows why he rejected the movie, some believe it was because of date issues, others think he wouldn't want to play Aishwarya Rai's brother. Once again, Salman's loss was SRK's gain.
