Meet Taha Shah Badussha AKA Tajdar Baloch From Heeramandi Who Has Become Internet's New Crush

While not many people are happy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece Sharmin Segal's casting in Heeramandi, many are going bonkers of Taha Shah Badussha who plays the role of Tajdar Baloch in the eight-part web series. "Okay, but let's talk about how good the guy who plays Tajdar is. I absolutely loved his track with Alamzeb. My only gripe is that it would've been better if they cast someone else instead of Sharmin," a user posted on Reddit and many people agreed.

"He was carrying the whole romance plot," a person commented while another one added, "So sweet! The score for them is so beautiful too. The romance is too cute like something out of Bridgerton." Another one opined, "Danggg hellooooo hottie! ? these guys should be getting mainstream roles instead of bevakoofs like Arjun and Varun..na shakl na akal na acting..."

Taha Shah made his debut Y-Films' Luv Ka The End, a Hindi comedy drama which starred Shraddha Kapoor alongside him. The movie was loosely based on 2009 American film Wild Cherry and the 2006 American film John Tucker Must Die. In the film, he played the role of an anti-hero. His next movie was Gippi by Dharma Productions in 2013. He was once again praised for his performance by fans and critics alike. KJo said, "Taha has a strong screen presence that combines machismo and vulnerability. I am sure he will have a great innings at the movies".

Next, he was seen in Mahesh Bhatt's Barkhaa opposite Pakistani actress Sara Loren. The film however was termed a disaster. In 2016, he appeared in Karan Johar's Baar Baar Dekho alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, playing the role of Tarun. This film also got a lukewarm response from fans and critics. His next movie was Ranchi Diaries.

In 2020, Taha Shah made his Hollywood debut Draupadi Unleashed, where he portrayed Gautam. He then featured in web series Bullets (formerly titled Tina and Lolo) and Bekaboo 2, produced by Ekta Kapoor and ALT Balaji.

Not only does he act well, Taha Shah is also a singer!

Taha Shah was born in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to Shah Sikkander Badusha and Mahnaz Sikkander Badusha, both hailing from South India. His father, an orthopedic doctor, holds F.R.C.S. degrees from Glasgow and Edinburgh, while his mother, initially a biochemist, later became an entrepreneur after completing her education in Washington, D.C. He has an elder brother named Abid, who is a Lead Civil Engineer educated at the University of Toronto. Taha's early education took place at Sherwood Academy in Abu Dhabi before moving to Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu, India, for three years. Later, he shifted to Sharjah, where he attended the International School of Choueifat and Sharjah American International School to complete his schooling.

It is said that Taha Shah was initially offered a three-day role, however, after his look test etc was done, Bhansali offered him the role of Tajdar. He was earlier supposed to play Balraj. "From that, it took me 3 months to get a call from him to to confirm my role as Tajdar. I was just happy to be part of the show."
