Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the nuptial knot in presence of close friends and family members today. The couple's wedding was a two-day affair with Haldi and Mehendi functions taking place on April 13, followed by the wedding the next day.
While Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor remained tight-lipped about their wedding till the very end, their friends and family members had started spilling the beans a couple of days back.
And now, the moment that all fans had been waiting for is finally here. Alia Bhatt shared official wedding pictures on Instagram and they look straight out of the pages of a fairytale.

Alia captioned the post with a heartwarming note. She wrote,
"Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home Ą in our favorite spot - the balcony weĄ¯ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. The wedding took place at Kapoors' home, Vastu, in Mumbai.

Ranbir and Alia's wedding was a closely-guarded affair with limited guests present at the venue. As per reports, the couple was supposed to get married in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic deferred their plans. Reports had also stated that Rishi Kapoor was planning a grand wedding for Ranbir and Alia back in 2020. The veteran actor breathed his last on April 30 and was greatly missed on the special day today.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had been dating since 2017 when they began working on Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. The film is all set to release this year and is helmed by Ayan Mukerji.

The two kept their relationship private and made it official when they arrived together at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding reception in 2018. The same year, in an interview with GQ, Ranbir had talked about dating Alia.
