Randeep Hooda reportedly off to Budapest for his second Hollywood project
Randeep Hooda is heading to Budapest for his next Hollywood project, following his successful debut in Extraction (2020). Known for choosing unique roles, Hooda's recent Bollywood film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, was critically acclaimed and nominated for an Oscar in 2025.
Randeep Hooda is reportedly on his way to Budapest for his next Hollywood project. The actor's first foray into Hollywood was in the 2020 action picture Extraction, which debuted on Netflix. Randeep Hooda's performances have always been praised, as he chooses unorthodox characters. His latest Bollywood film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, received critical acclaim, and the audience enjoyed his performance.
According to an NDTV report, a little information regarding his next Hollywood effort has been out. However, the report quoted a close insider saying, "Randeep is excited about starting filming for the project. While not much is known at this stage, it's a brand new avatar for him. The shoot is set to commence soon in Budapest later this week."
Hooda's first Hollywood project gets an Oscar nomination
In Extraction, he shared screen space with Chris Hemsworth. Randeep Hooda's action sequences were praised by critics and audiences alike. His most recent Bollywood film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, was based on the life of the legendary liberation fighter. The film has been officially nominated as an Oscar nominee for 2025.
The film will compete against other official Indian film entries at the Oscars 2025, including Kanguva, Santosh, Girls Will Be Girls, All We Imagine As Light, The Goat Life, and Putul.
On the job front, Randeep has Jaat opposite Sunny Deol, which is set to be released in theatres in April 2025. Gopichand Malineni directed the film. In 2001, Randeep Hooda made a stunning debut with Monsoon Wedding.
His other notable appearances include Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Jannat 2, Jism 2, Sarbjit, and Saheb, Biwi, and Gangster.
