Whether you watch Indian soap operas or not, you are bound to at least be aware of most of them. Why? Because of their absurd scenes that often become a target of memes and trolls.
For instance, most of us haven't watched Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, but we're sure aware of the Rasode Mein Kaun Tha? scene. Thanks to music producer Yashraj Mukhate's best mashup of 2020 that has become the new meme template that everyone is raving about. This wasn't the first time!

This particular scene from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai went viral on social media. This was shot right after the lockdown was relaxed and shooting of TV shows, ad films and movies was allowed. The actors, probably trying to keep up with the current affairs, were seen wearing masks and shields leaving everyone amused. What's strange is that recently, over a month after this episode aired, seven members from the cast and crew of the show have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Bangla TV serial called Krishnakoli, a doctor used a scotch brite scrubber as defibrillator to revive a patient fighting for life. Perhaps, it was difficult to find props during the pandemic. So the crew went with whatever was available.

Not only Rasode Mein Kaun Tha? Gopi Bahu's laptop washing scene from Saath Nibhana Saathiya, was a bigger sensation some time ago. Oh-so-popular Gopi Bahu is so innocent that she disinfected her husband's laptop with soap and water. That didn't end there. She then hangs it on a rope for drying.

In this scene from Sasural Simar Ka, Mata Ji slaps Pari so hard that she keeps spinning and ends up hanging herself with the curtains. While choking, she keeps pulling the curtains as everyone tries to help her.
