Srivalli, who is played by Rashmika Mandanna, is one of Pushpa's most popular characters, so much so that she has a whole song dedicated to her name. Her role in Pushpa 2 has been the subject of numerous rumours.
The filming of Sukumar's directorial Pushpa 2 will start in August. The sequel to Pushpa, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is still to hit the floor. Since the announcement of Pushpa 2, some internet users have hypothesised about what will happen in the sequel. Several believe that the second half of the blockbuster film will focus on the enmity between Pushpa and Bhanwar Singh, with Srivalli also being a major topic of discussion.
With Srivalli being the main focus after Pushpa Raj in the film Pusha and fans speculating about her death, it's no surprise that rumours are circulating that the sequel will bring her death.
Twitter users are speculating about Pushpa 2's possibilities:
According to rumours, Srivalli, Rashmika Mandanna's character, will die in the sequel, leaving Allu Arjun's character Pushpa enraged and absolutely heartbroken. However, there is no way of knowing if Sukumar will include this side of the story either.
It's a classic move when the villain wants revenge on the hero, as when Gabbar kidnaps Basanti in Sholay and Adheera kidnaps Reena in KGF 2. The tired trope of villains murdering or kidnapping the leading lady in order to exact vengeance on the protagonist is quite outdated.
However that being said, Prashanth Neel's film KGF 2 effectively used the same trick, which will be interesting to see.
The audience was supposed to empathise with the smuggler-hero, 'Pushpa Raj,' who was publicly humiliated and labelled a jerk by his enemies in Pusha. And if the same concept is replicated through Srivalli¡¯s death in the second part, it will become tedious. Sukumar, the director, is still working on the script for 'Pushpa 2' before the team starts filming in August.
Pushpa: The Rise is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
