Sankranthiki Vasthunam box office prediction day 1: Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring Venkatesh, hit the screens today (January 14) on the festive occasion of Sankranti/Pongal. The film created a great deal of buzz among the family audience ahead of its release with its engaging trailer. The action comedy-drama has also piqued the curiosity as it is directed by Anil Ravipudi, who previously teamed up with the veteran actor for F2 and F3. These factors are expected to help Sankranthiki Vasthunam open to a good response at the Indian box office.

The Venkatesh-led Sankranthiki Vasthunam, the third major Telugu film of the Sankranti season, is finally here. The action comedy opened in theatres on January 14 amid fanfare. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade tracker, the film is expected to gross Rs 15 crore in India on the first day.

Venkatesh enjoys a strong fan following among the family audience, which will work in the film¡¯s favour. It may also benefit from the mixed response to Ram Charan¡¯s Game Changer. Sankranthiki Vasthunam is, however, expected to face some competition from Balakrishna¡¯s Daaku Maharaaj as the action thriller has impressed the audience.
