Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 1: Salman Khan¡¯s film fails to beat Vicky Kaushal¡¯s Chhaava amid online leak
Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 1: Salman Khan¡¯s film has finally arrived in theatres, and fans are celebrating it like no less than a festival. However, the opening numbers are a bit underwhelming.

Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 1: Salman Khan has arrived on the big screen with his Eid special entertainer, and fans are flocking to theatres like it's some festival. Videos of audiences dancing and singing inside and outside theatres have surfaced online. However, they have not translated enough into footfalls. The opening numbers of Sikandar sound underwhelming, but there¡¯s still hope!
Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 1
According to Sacnilk, Sikandar earned just Rs 41.25 crore on Day 1 (March 30th). The domestic net of the film was calculated at Rs 26 crore, gross at Rs 31.25 crore and overseas at Rs 10 crore. However, despite all the hype, this A. R. Murugadoss directorial couldn¡¯t beat Vicky Kaushal¡¯s latest film Chhaava, which opened at Rs 47.25 crore on 14th February. There are two key reasons for Sikandar¡¯s weak opening. The first one is the choice of release day (Sunday). The usual Friday release window always helps in massive footfall since there¡¯s a weekend ahead.
However, makers relied solely on Eid and Ugadi to make it a festive treat. The other reason might be the online leak of Sikandar. Even before the first show premiered on the big screen, HD prints of the film had started circulating online on torrent websites and Telegram, with strangely no efforts to stop it. As some people watched it in theatres, a large number enjoyed it in the comfort of their homes.
