Sonakshi Sinha made her debut in 2010 with Dabangg and now she is back with the third installment of the film and it still feels like the first. It¡¯s natural to get nostalgic. Ever since Sona has made her debut she has been films of all genres be it Lootera to Dabangg 3.
This year the actress had four releases - Kalank, Khandaani Shafakhana, Mission Mangal and now Dabangg. Sona is happily admitting that she is female Akshay Kumar, talking about how this year has been for her, she said,
¡°It's been an eventful year for me. I had four releases, I have no complaints about anything, it's very important to have successes and failures in life. I literally have no regrets in whatever I have done now or in the past. I have always learned something.¡±
Insisting that her performances have been appreciated though the films didn¡¯t work, she said,
¡° I am not seeing as a failure because my work has been appreciated. People have appreciated my performances and as an actor, my job has been done. So honestly I don't see this as a failure. Also, it's been a fantastic journey for me, I consider my every film as a first film¡±.
When asked how does she chose her films, to which she said,
¡°For me, it's very instinctive. I close my eyes I envision myself as the character and if I can connect I will do it. I want to do everything. Be it a film like Lootera to Dabangg 3. I want to achieve that every director can vision me in their characters.¡±
Though her films like Lootera or Khandaani Shafakhana didn¡¯t work at the box office but were liked by the audiences, talking about numbers she said, ¡°Honestly I don't understand numbers so I don't concern myself. I have been part of some of the biggest films and I have been part of films that have not done well. Like Lootera was such a beautiful film but it didn't do well at the box office and some films that are average have done 100 crore plus so it's fine. Least I can do is do my work well.¡±
Talking about Khandaani Shafakhana she said,
¡° It was a beautiful experience for me. I specifically called Ayushmann to watch the film and told him that I am entering his territory. He liked my work and I am very thankful for his appreciation. Though that film didn't work well, I will continue doing a solo film, I know my solo lead films haven't done well but I will not stop until it works.¡±
When asked how she keeps herself motivated and not be complacent, to which she said,
¡°I think that depends on the person's attitude. Like I said that I consider my every film as my first film, and that is what kept me from becoming complacent. I have never said haan mujhe sab pata never and I think from there a person¡¯s downfall start and I never want to be in that position. "
Lastly, when asked Sona about her future plans, she said,
¡° My ambition is just to be better than every day. I know it's been 9 years but I don't feel like that at all. I didn't have time to breathe. I have been constantly working and I love that.¡±
Sona is definitely excelling each day.
