Dragon Tamil movie: Pradeep Ranganathan has become the talk of the town because of his latest film Dragon, which hit the screens on February 21 and emerged as a blockbuster. Who is Dragon star Pradeep Ranganathan?

Pradeep Ranganathan, who plays the titular role in the recently-released blockbuster Dragon, has become an overnight sensation in the comedy drama. He was born in 1993 in Chennai. After completing his schooling, he joined the SSN College of Engineering. He soon developed an interest in filmmaking and directed Whatsapp Kadhal, a short film.

Pradeep eventually made his feature film debut with Comali, starring Ravi Mohan and Kajal Aggarwal. The film landed in a controversy ahead of its release as its trailer featured a sequence, set in 1996, where Rajinikanth promised to enter politics. ¡®Thalaivar¡¯ supporters threaten to boycott the film. The sequence was removed and Comali emerged as a blockbuster.

Pradeep¡¯s second directorial venture Love Today (2022) proved to be a game-changer for him. It featured him in the lead role and marked his debut as a leading man, It dealt with modern-day relationships and emerged as a blockbuster.

Pradeep went on to produce Loveyapa, its Hindi remake. The Junaid Khan-led romantic comedy, however, did not do too well at the box office. Pradeep will next be seen in Love Insurance Kompany , directed by Vignesh Shivan.
