According to the report, Syed Kous, the treasurer of Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath, met with the media to talk about the group's complaint against Vijay.
As per News18 he reportedly said, ¡°Muslims were insulted at the Iftar program organised by Vijay. We believe the participation of drunkards and rowdies who had nothing to do with fasting or Iftar has insulted Muslims.¡±

Syed further criticised Vijay for failing to "express regret" for the Iftar's outcome, saying that the event was planned in a "hurtful manner." He said that Vijay's "foreign guards" mistreated individuals, "treating them like cows," and that improper arrangements had been made. "To make sure this doesn't happen again, Vijay should face legal action. For publicity, we didn't submit a complaint," he continued.

Notably, actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay participated in the celebrations of Ramadan on Friday. He is expected to enter politics shortly after his last movie, Jana Nayagan. The Iftar was arranged by Vijay and took place in the Royapettah YMCA grounds on Friday. Social media was flooded with images and videos of the event too.
