L2 Empuraan presales day 1: Mohanlal is gearing up for the release of L2 Empuraan, one of the biggest Mollywood films of the year. The actioner, slated to hit the screens on March 27, has created a great deal of buzz among fans with its gripping teaser. Now, the biggie has reached a major milestone in the Australian market even before its release.

L2 Empuraan beats Aadujeevitam in Australia

Mohanlal, who suffered setbacks when films such as Barroz and Monster bombed at the box office, has once again given proof of his stardom. According to Southwood, a handle on X (previously known as Twitter), the film has beaten the day 1 haul of Prithviraj¡¯s Aadujeevitam eight days before its release. The survival drama had earned A$69,594 (around Rs 38 lakh) on its first day.

L2 has grossed A$71,505 (about Rs 39 lakh) so far through presales for the opening day and there are still eight days to go till it arrives in theatres. . Going by this, a $100K opening cannot be ruled out.

L2 Empuraan is the second installment of the Lucifer saga. It features Mohanlal in the role of a godfather-like character with Prithviraj as his aide. The film¡¯s cast includes Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Indrajith. L2 Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj himself, is set to hit the screens on March 27.
