Mahesh Babu will soon be beginning work on SSMB 29, which marks his first collaboration with SS Rajamouli. The film has created a great deal of buzz among fans as it is said to feature the actor in a new avatar. Now, it seems that the makers of the big-ticket film are planning to rope in Priyanka Chopra to play the female lead opposite ¡®Prince¡¯ in the biggie.

Priyanka Chopra, who became an international sensation with Quantico, hasn¡¯t been seen in an Indian film in a while. Now, it appears that she is set to sign a a big pan-India film. According to Filmfare, the ¡®Desi Girl¡¯ is likely to star alongside Mahesh Babu in SSMB 29. The makers are interested in signing her but an official announcement is yet to be made.
PC enjoys a strong fan following internationally because of her portrayal of Alex Parrish, a secret agent, in Quantico. She was also seen alongside Dwayne ¡®The Rock¡¯ Johnson in Baywatch. Given her body of work, she might add a new dimension to SSMB 29 if she takes it up.

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu¡¯s film is billed as a potential game-changer for Telugu cinema as it will be the director¡¯s first release after RRR. He recently revealed that it took him two years to develop the story. He further revealed that the biggie will introduce the audience to a new universe. SSMB 29 will reportedly be shot on a budget of Rs 1000 crore and is expected to go on the floors next year.
