Thandel box office collection day 4: Thandel, which hit the screens on February 7, started its journey on a stellar note and emerged as the highest opener of Naga Chaitanya's career. It then witnessed growth over the weekend. The action thriller, however, had a massive drop on Monday (February 10). Thandel is directed by Chandoo Mondeti.
Thandel slows down on its first Monday
Naga Chaitanya is in the limelight because of his latest film Thandel, which arrived in theatres on February 7. The film witnessed a massive drop at the Indian box office on its first Monday after opening on a strong note. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, it earned Rs 4.75 crore yesterday. This is nearly 62% lower than the Rs 12.75 crore it netted on its third day.
Here is the day-wise breakdown for Thandel:
Day 1: Rs 11.5 crore
Day 2: Rs 12.1 crore
Fay 3: Rs 12.75 crore
Day 4: Rs 4.75 crore
The film's total collection stands at Rs 41 crore. Thandel needs to stay stable over the weekends in order to have any hope of enjoying a long run at the ticket window. It has received mixed reviews with critics praising the performances but complaining about the screenplay. As such, the word-of-mouth is not as good as expected. This may act as a hindrance.
