Traders¡¯ Body Objects To Men & Women Sharing Bed In Bigg Boss 13, Writes To I&B Ministry Seeking Ban

It has just been one week to Bigg Boss 13 and the controversies have reached new heights. After people on social media demanded that this season of the Bigg Boss shall be banned for it promotes ¡®Love Jihad¡¯ by allotting a Hindu girl Mahira Khan to share bed with a Kashmiri Muslim man Asim Riaz, now the Confederation of All India Traders has written to I&B Ministry seeking a ban on the show.

For the unversed, the makers of Bigg Boss 13 have introduced a new term this time. While earlier, the contestants chose who they will share the bed with on their own, this time they entered the show in couples ¨C as BFFs (Bed Friends Forever). This hasn¡¯t gone down well with many, especially the the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

According to a report on The Hindu Business Line, the traders¡¯ body has appealed to I&B Minister to ban the show for ¡°our country¡¯s traditional and cultural values are being tarnished in the lust of TRP and profits.¡±

The secretary of CAIT, Praveen Khandelwal, thinks the concept of BFF is highly immoral.

¡°In the current show, the concept of ¡®Bed Friend Forever¡¯ is highly deplorable and is against all moral ethics of the television world. The makers of the show have forgotten that it is the prime time slot on TV when this show is telecast and people of all age groups watch the show,¡± he was quoted as saying.

This all started after a picture of couple and former Bigg Boss contestants Suyyash Rai and Kishwar Merchant went viral on social media. Many mistook it for a picture showing Mahira Sharma and Asim Riaz. But turned out, the photo wasn¡¯t from this season.
