Vanangaan box office collection day 9: Arun Vijay¡¯s Vanangaan, which hit the screens on January 10, has made a decent impact at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews. The action drama collected Rs 3 crore on the first day and then remained stable at a lower level. It continued its run on January 18. Vanangaan is directed by Bala. The director wanted to make the film with Suriya but that did not happen.

Vanangaan holds its own at the box office

Vanangaan, one of the most eagerly-awaited releases of the Pongal season, has made an impact at the box office despite facing competition from Madha Gaja Raja. It continued to attract the audience on its ninth day. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, the film collected Rs 1 crore in Tamil Nadu on January 18.

¡°Vanangaan earned about Rs 1 crore yesterday. It has been stable,¡± he told Indiatimes.

This prevented it from emerging as the undisputed choice of the audience. The positive response to Vishal¡¯s Madha Gaja Raja, which hit the screens on January 12, too added to its worries.
