- In an interview with the Japanese YouTuber collective Fischer's back in 2019, Oda stated that he hoped to complete the story in five years, with an expected completion date of 2024.
- As per Games Rant, when he appeared with Arashi on their variety show, a la tubo, in 2020, this timeline was further reiterated. There, he reaffirmed his intention to complete the project in four to five years (2024 or 2025 end).
- As of April 2025, it¡¯s uncertain whether One Piece will end this year, and Oda has not provided an exact date.
