Ekadashi in 2024: Know Puja Rituals
- Wake up early and take a bath before starting the puja.
- Clean the house, especially the puja room.
- Place a wooden plank and put idols of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, and Laddo Gopal, along with Shree Yantra, if you have them.
- Give the idols a bath and put them back in place.
- Light a diya (lamp) with desi ghee in front of the idols.
- Decide to observe the fast with purity and devotion.
- Offer Tulsi leaves, fruits, and panchamrit to the idols.
- Chant the Krishna Maha Mantra 108 times.
- In the evening, pray again, tell the story of that Ekadashi, and sing aarti for Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna.
- Do not break Tulsi leaves on Ekadashi.
- You can eat fruits and milk products, but on Nirjala Ekadashi, it's advised to not eat anything.
- If you can't do the Nirjala fast due to health reasons, you can do a regular fast.
- Break the fast the next day, on Dwadashi Tithi, during Parana Time.
