Kia Syros features in India
One diesel engine and one gasoline engine are available for the Kia Syros. The gasoline engine is 998 cc, and the diesel engine is 1493 cc. Both manual and automatic transmissions are offered. The Syros's ground clearance is 190 mm, and its mileage ranges from 17.65 to 20.75 km/l, depending on the version and fuel type. The Syros is a four-cylinder, five-seater vehicle with dimensions of 3995 mm in length, 1805 mm in width, and 2550 mm in wheelbase.
Colour and design: The Syros is a tallboy SUV with a body length of just under 4 meters that draws design influences from popular Kia SUVs like the EV9 and EV3. Its low-set vertical LED headlamps that extend into the fenders and upright stance make the fascia quite noticeable. The lower part is heavily covered in cladding, and the top-spec model's tri-petal design for the 17-inch alloy wheels is eye-catching.
The eight colour choices are Aurora Black Pearl, Frost Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Pewter Olive, and Sparkling Silver.
Interior and safety feature: The Syros sports a neat, well-designed dashboard installed by Kia. Two 12.3-inch infotainment and instrument cluster screens dominate the centre console, separated by a 5-inch temperature control screen. The AC vents are arranged neatly along the length of the dashboard, and the two-spoke steering wheel features a distinctive off-centre Kia emblem. According to Gwanggu Lee, MD and CEO of Kia India, the tallboy form factor also maximizes the Syros' interior space, an important design priority for the small SUV.
All four seats have air conditioning, ambient lighting, second-row seats that slide and recline with a centre armrest and 60:40 split-folding capability, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic sunroof, an electronic parking brake, a powered driver's seat, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Six airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite are among the safety features of the Syros.
