Delhi International Airport Limited announced on Friday that there will be no flights arriving or departing from Delhi Airport between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm IST during this period. Passengers are advised to check their flight schedules and plan their travel accordingly for this particular timeframe.
Delhi International Airport Limited said on X, ¡°In view of Republic Day celebrations, no flights will arrive or depart from Delhi Airport between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm IST from January 19 to January 26, 2024.¡±

As per the NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), flights will be prohibited from taking off or landing at Delhi¡¯s Indira Gandhi International Airport, one of the busiest airports globally, between 10:20 am and 12:45 pm until Republic Day, January 26.
Airspace restrictions in the national capital will be enforced from Friday (January 19) to Monday (January 29) in connection with Republic Day preparations and celebrations.
During the period from January 19 to 25, the landing or take-off of non-scheduled flights of scheduled airlines and chartered flights will not be permitted from 10 am to 1:15 pm. These restrictions will be in effect from 6 am to 9 pm during the period from January 26 to 29, as per the NOTAM issued earlier this week.
Additionally, the NOTAM restrictions will not affect the operations of Indian Air Force (IAF), Border Security Force (BSF), or Army aviation helicopters, as well as state-owned aircraft or helicopters flying with the Governor or Chief Minister of a state. This notice, issued by the Centre on Friday morning, is part of the comprehensive security plan for Republic Day celebrations in the national capital.

Full dress rehearsals for Republic Day 2024
Full dress rehearsals for Republic Day celebrations have commenced in the national capital. The Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory for central Delhi, indicating specific restrictions. Traffic movement will be restricted at Kartavya Path-Rafi Marg Crossing, Kartavya Path-Janpath Crossing, Kartavya Path-Mansingh Road Crossing, and Kartavya Path-C Hexagon from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
In addition, the Kartavya Path stretch between India Gate and Vijay Chowk will be closed to all traffic during this period. Motorists are advised to follow real-time traffic updates provided by police personnel for a smooth travel experience.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) also suggested passengers plan their journeys, taking into account the potential for long queues at metro stations during the specified period.
