Greenest fleet
The Akasa airline claims that it will be the greenest fleet in the Indian skies. Their 737 MAX family aircraft is known for reducing fuel use and carbon emissions, thanks to its CFM fuel-efficient, LEAP-1B engine. This will help the airline in fulfilling its promise of being an environmentally-friendly airline.
What is Akasa Air¡¯s ULCC model?
Airlines that follow an ultra-low-cost model will cut back on all expendable costs. An ultra-low-cost model (ULCC) will stuff as many seats as possible onto planes, fly more hours a day and keep seat prices separate from all related goods and services.
Every space is worth selling, if not for passengers then for advertising. Advertising on the luggage bins, foldable seat back trays, paper cups, food packaging and just about everything. And a separate charge for every unbundled service, such as each bag and each seat.
In the ULCC airline business model, the company focuses on keeping operating costs even lower than typical budget airlines like IndiGo and SpiceJet.
Akasa Air Code
Akasa Air, a brand of SNV Aviation Private Limited recently received its Airline code from DGCA and will be called 'QP'. Akasa Air is the newest airline in India, unlike Jet Airways which will start India operations again with 9W code.
