The news of his demise was shared by animation historian Jerry Beck on Facebook, and described how Cohen was an accomplished writer, composer, and producer. His tribute for the writer said, ¡°R.I.P. David Steven Cohen ¡ª I just heard that my friend has passed from cancer. He was an accomplished writer, composer, producer¡ª animation lover and friend.¡±

A lasting impact on television

Did you know Courage the Cowardly Dog was not his only iconic project? Beck also highlighted David Steven Cohen¡¯s contributions to television over the years, including projects like Pee-Wee¡¯s Playhouse, Alf, Parker Lewis Can¡¯t Lose, Alf Tales, and the animated film Balto.
