Delhi will host its first "Virat Kohli Lookalike Competition" on December 1 at Lodhi Gardens, inspired by similar events abroad. Organized by Delhi Reads, participants can sign up as Kohli lookalikes or as audience members.
Celebrity lookalike contests may have finally caught on in India, following a successful run in the United States that began with a Timothee Chalamet theme. According to Molina Singh, the co-founder of Delhi Reads, a Virat Kohli lookalike competition will take place in Delhi early next month.

Where will the event take place?
The tweet includes a link to a Google form with additional information on the event. The "Virat Kohli Lookalike Competition" will make its debut at Lodhi Gardens on December 1 at 3 p.m.
Participants who sign up for the event must specify whether they resemble Kohli or are simply "coming as an audience".
Will there be more celebrity lookalike competitions in India?
Singh also received requests for future events featuring an unidentified Imran Khan and a Jhankaar Beats actor. The organiser stated that if the Kohli lookalike contest draws a large crowd, she will consider conducting these competitions as well.
Four days before officially announcing the event, Singh intimated on social media that Paridhi Puri, one of Delhi Reads' two founding members, had claimed the competition "will blow up".
Celebrity lookalike events increased after thousands gathered in New York City to compete for Chalamet's resemblance. It produced other versions with appearances influenced by Dev Patel, Harry Styles, Jeremy Allen White, and Zayn Malik.
