The collection Art of Eternity - Forever: today, tomorrow transported the viewer into a land of Parisian dreams. French motifs and Indian craftsmanship intertwined on the runway.
Hyundai India Couture Week 2024 day 2 kickstarted with a presentation by Isha Jajodia, who debuted in the fashion frat last year.
The collection Art of Eternity - Forever: today, tomorrow transported the viewer into a land of Parisian dreams. French motifs and Indian craftsmanship intertwined on the runway.
Who opened the show?
The show was opened by Ranbir Kapoor¡¯s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, who owns a jewellery brand. She was styled in a beautiful chikankari and pearl embellished boatneck blouse and lehenga. The designer described Sahani as ¡°classic, elegant and understated,¡± and touted her outfit is the best choice for the show opener.
To talk about the collection, was a mix of Parisian, Victorian and Gatsby-esque aesthetics. Models walked out in corsets paired with lehengas. Lace, feathers, mesh, fringes, plunging necklines and 3d appliqu¨¦s made the collection come to life.
What stood out in the collection?
What stood out was embellished swimsuits, perfect for a bachelorette, the designer paired it with a cape-style longline jacket. Structural corsets, that looked like they were made of metal. The corsets looked inspired by Schiaparelli, I was instantly reminded of
Natasha Poonawalla's debut at The Met.
Soft, ethereal fabrics and flowing silhouettes evoke a fairy tale romance, while bespoke elements and sentimental details weave a unique story into the very fabric, making each piece a true reflection of love and artistry. Each piece unfolds like a chapter in a captivating love story, adorned with intricate details and exquisite craftsmanship. These designs invite the audience to lose themselves in a narrative of romance and passion.
Who turned the showstopper for the designer?
Actor Jacqueline Fernandez closed the show for the designer in a black number that the actor described as something people don't really see her in. The designer described her as a "goddess" and admitted she was her muse from the inception of the collection.
Fernandez wore a black sweetheart neckline embellished gown with a net train sprinkled with lace.
