How to Relieve Stress: How does stress affect mental health?
Psychologist Shilpi explains the root cause of the problem: ※It is not the stress that takes a toll on our mental health, it is the attitude and our reaction to situations that leads us to mental disorders. In this ever changing world and life where not many things work in accordance to what we expect, stress should be taken as icing on the cake which comes in to measure our level of tolerance and limit to go ahead. The word "stressed" should be taken as "desserts"(when spelled backward) and should be treated that way only. The best way to deal with stress is with humor and laughter.§

Psychologist Shilpi shares the secret to save yourself from stress and how to improve mental health, she says, ※Four regular constituents for stress management are:- Nutrition, psychological guidance-cognitive behavioural therapies/postitive thinking, physical exercises- regular walks, jogging or simple exercises and also mental exercises- relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises(pranayam). Mental health professionals would help to restructure your negative thinking/perspectives and would replace them with more positive ones with patients' support.§
