What is lyme disease?
Lyme disease is a common disease in the United States. It is transmitted through infected deer ticks. This disease is also known as lyme borreliosis which is an infection caused by borrelia bacteria. The most common way to judge this disease is by checking your skin turning red. This will happen on the site where the tick might have bitten. It appears after a week of time.
How Lyme disease gets transmitted? The small deer tick feeds on blood of mice and birds and then bites humans, contaminating their blood. After it injects the bacteria into the blood it grows locally which is also known as Early-localised disease. When it spreads in the blood it affects various organs of the human body.
Usually these ticks are found in shrubs, bushes and wooded areas. They can get in touch with humans during outdoor activity.
