A necklace enshrined with 500 diamonds is going under the hammer, come November. Famous auction house, Sotheby¡¯s, has confirmed that the bidding will happen on November 11 in Geneva. The online bidding for the same will begin from October 25 on Sotheby's website.
Three-row necklace with Maharani core energy
The necklace gives major Maharani core energy, with three rows of diamonds, alongwith cute tassels of diamond at both ends. It will make its first public appearance in 50 years on Monday and is estimated to sell for between $1.8 and $2.8 million. (Rs 150 and 234 lakhs.)

During an interaction with AFP, the chairman of Sotheby's jewellery department, this three-row necklace is an amazing find because most of the jewellery items from the 18th century are ordered to be repurposed.
Specially designed for a royal family
Aside from that, little is known about the necklace including who designed it and for whom it was commissioned, though the auction house feels that such a magnificent antique jewel could only have been fashioned for the royal family.

According to the auction company, the diamonds were most likely obtained "from the legendary Golconda mines in India". The diamonds from Golconda are still thought to be the purest and most dazzling ever discovered.
The necklace will be on public exhibition in London until Wednesday before embarking on a trip to Hong Kong, New York, and Taiwan.
