Spring has sprung in Delhi, and it's not just the weather that's blooming! The Delhi Tulip Festival 2024 is in full swing, painting the city with a vibrant display of over 200,000 tulips. The festival has been organised by New Delhi Municipal Corporation.
This year's festival boasts a diverse array of tulips in various colours, including red, yellow, white, pink, purple, and even black. Many of these bulbs were sourced directly from the Netherlands, bringing a touch of the world-famous Amsterdam Tulip Festival to Delhi. Another 40,000 contributed by the Dutch embassy is on display as well.

When and Where is it?
The 12-day festival kicked off on February 10th and continues until February 21st, 2024. It's held on the lawns along Shantipath Road in Chanakyapuri, offering a convenient location for visitors.
A Sustainable Celebration
The Delhi Tulip Festival aims to be environmentally conscious. Organizers have implemented waste management strategies and encourage visitors to be responsible with their waste.
What else does the festival provide?
The festival isn't just about admiring the flowers. Here are some additional highlights:
Tulip Walks: Join free guided walks on February 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) to learn about different tulip varieties and their care.
Photography Competition: Capture the essence of the festival and showcase your skills in the photography competition.
Food Festival: Tantalize your taste buds with a variety of unique dishes inspired by tulips at the on-site food festival which you can find every single day of the festival.
Musical Performances: Immerse yourself in the Indo-Dutch music program on February 17th at Nehru Park, featuring performances by both Dutch and Indian artists.
Entry and Timings:
Entry to the festival is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for all. The festival is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Other than that, the location is convenient making it easy to take a cab, a local transport or even your car. Taking the metro can be comfortable too. You can reach the Rajiv Chowk metro station and then take an auto or even Jor Bagh metro station is a close option.
