If you are working in a corporate office, then you know exactly what we are talking about. Most offices are super chilly and air cons have temperature as low as 15 degree. Now with the changing weather, it's important to feel alive and not numb and sore in office. You will see your colleagues in jackets, shawls and caps to refrain from catching cold.
Here are 6 ways to stop getting that stiff neck, body ache and fever in this sticky monsoon weather.
1. Keep that denim jacket or shawl in your bag whenever you walk into work
Start carrying a nice big bag and fill it up not just with laptop and chargers but also a jacket or a shawl that keeps you warm.
2. Hot beverage helps, believe us!
Put that pantry at work into good use and have that piping hot tea and feel good about the lovely chilly weather inside even if it's humid, sweaty outside.
3. Please stretch and walk
To create body heat, it's important to keep moving and taking frequent breaks. Let your manager judge you for getting up wat too many times but if your lower back is aching, do not hesitate.
4. If you sit right under a vent, MOVE!
Please change your seat if you sit right under the vent or AC. Nothing better - if you can find a standing desk.
5. Be active as much as possible
Try and step out of the building to get your normal temperature back. Accompany your colleagues for that post lunch walk.
6. Think positive and speak to the Admin
Keep calm in the midst of all the chill. Do not panic. It can get worrisome and irritating but do not lose your cool. Keep smiling and speak to the admin to see if there is a possibility to increate the temperature of your bay.
