This idea is so popular, according to a 2019 Princeton Associates Research study, the industry around solo travelling is now pegged at $8 trillion.

But the choice of destination can get tricky even if you are a seasoned traveller that's why a ranking and analysis project by US News & World Report, BAV Group and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania came up with a list of the top seven countries to travel solo to in 2020.

1. Spain.

No surprises why Spain is ranked number 1 in this coveted list. 2. Italy.

This destination allows travellers to find a balance between winding down with a pasta-making class or a wine-tasting session while giving you enough to pump up your adrenaline with stunning landscapes and new towns. 3. Greece.
