Cannes 2024: Ratna Pathak Shah Stuns In Ethnic Attire, Wears Her Own Saree For The Red Carpet

Cannes 2024 witnessed a dazzling debut as veteran Bollywood actor-couple Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah graced the ongoing 77th Cannes Film Festival with their presence. They stole the spotlight at the screening of Shyam Benegal¡¯s iconic film, Manthan, adorning ethnic attire alongside other notable figures.

Cannes 2024: Ratna Pathak Shah stole the show

Naseeruddin Shah opted for a striking white sherwani accentuated with maroon buttons, exuding elegance on the red carpet. But, Ratna Pathak Shah turned heads and stole the show by wearing her own saree paired with a custom-crafted lavender-hued blouse, showcasing her unique sense of style.

She upcycled her lime green saree she¡¯d worn multiple times and paired it with the lavender blouse and jacket. The blouse, intricately handwoven from recycled cotton and plant dye, added a touch of eco-conscious fashion to her ensemble.

Joining them were Prateik Babbar, the talented actor-son of the late Smita Patil, and Nirmala Kurien, daughter of Dr. Verghese Kurien. Prateik paid homage to his mother by donning a classic black tuxedo adorned with her patterned silk scarf, while Nirmala stunned in a beautiful blue saree with a striking red pallu.
