Over 8.5 Lakh People Have Made Successful Recoveries From COVID-19 In India
India has a total of 1,342,166 COVID-19 cases with 31,464 deaths reported. Over 8,52,497 persons have recovered successfully from the novel coronavirus.
India has been relentlessly taking on the novel coronavirus with all its might and the latest figures on the recovery cases are proof of it. The number of patients who have successfully recovered from COVID-19 has now crossed 8.5 lakh. The overall recovery rate has significantly improved to 65.53 per cent.
The Health and Family Welfare Ministry today said, total number of 8,49,432 persons have recovered from COVID-19 so far. In the past 24 hours, 32,223 people have recovered in one single day from the disease.
The Health Ministry said a total of 48,916 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country within 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 13,36,000. As of now, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country are 4,56,071.
According to AIR, the recovery rate of COVID-19 cases, Delhi stands at the top with 86.40 percent recovery rate followed by Ladakh, Haryana, Telangana, Assam and Gujarat.
Whereas in the Union Territories, the recovery rate is above 72 per cent. Sixteen states and Union Territories have better recovery rates than the national average of 63.53 per cent.
In terms of number of people who recovered from COVID-19, Maharashtra is leading the tally followed by Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Telangana.
