Farmer Sells His Only Cow For Daughter's Education, Says She Will Become A Doctor One Day
The farmer said when his daughter¡¯s school started online classes he did not have any smartphone. At initial times, she had to go around the village borrowing smartphones from other people so that she could attend online study classes.
A farmer from Himachal Pradesh has won hearts on social media for selling his cow so that his daughter could continue her education through online classes amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, the farmer has told the interviewer that he struggled to buy a smartphone just so that the education of his 10-year-old daughter won¡¯t be compromised. He also revealed that he had to drop out of the school in 8th standard but wants his kids to get better education.

However, the farmer noticed that the daughter was spending half a day wandering for a smartphone. The farmer said that lately she started getting fed up with the process and he couldn¡¯t bear to see her sad everyday. He decided to buy a smartphone for her.

He asked a few of his friends to lend him some money while explaining his situation and they lent him 5000 rupees. With the money he got a smartphone and surprised his kids and they got excited by the same.
After some weeks, the friends wanted the money back so instead of breaking his daughter¡¯s heart he sold his cow. He thought his family was totally dependent on the cow¡¯s milk, however from this he returned the money.
The farmer also said that ¡°its my daughter¡¯s dream to become a doctor and as a father, I¡¯ll do anything to make that happen¡±.
Recently another beautiful story made us teary eyed as, Anand, 40, was in prison for killing his paternal uncle over a dispute back in 2005. But he was hit by reality when he saw his daughter struggling in the online classes because she did not have gadgets. Due to the COVID threat, this was the only way for students to study. His daughter is in Class 12 of a government school.
So what did he do? The man bought a smartphone for her. Where did he get the money? It was from what he earned in jail.
