A Robber Who Hired Thieves At Rs 15,000 Monthly Salary To Commit Crimes, Arrested In Jaipur

A 21-year-old man turned employer, not for any noble cause but to hire thieves for carrying out the robbery on a daily basis. The accused hired six unemployed men in Jaipur and assigned them the task of stealing motorcycles, gold chains and mobile phones. The 21-year-old also paid all of them a modest, monthly salary of Rs 15,000 and set targets for them.
The thieves were asked to commit a crime every single day, failure of which will call for a day¡¯s deduction, reported Hindustan Times. Seven members of the gang including the leader were arrested on Tuesday on charges of robbing mobile phones, motorcycles, gold jewellery from Jawahar circle area, Shivdaspura, Kho Nagoriyan, Sanaganer and other areas of Jaipur.

After the police complaints regarding such cases started increasing, a special team scanned CCTV footage and tracked the location of the gang on the basis of the stolen mobile phones. The officials then received a tip-off on Sunday that the burglars were hiding in a rented house in Pratap Nagar area.
When the house was raided by the police, a total of 33 mobile phones, a laptop, two chains and four motorcycles were recovered. The gang operated on stolen motorcycles to snatch chains and mobile phones. The stolen items were deposited with the gang leader, Ashish Meena who made money by selling them.

¡°They are all illiterate and were jobless. Ashish gave them an offer of a monthly salary to commit a crime. They shifted to a house in Jaipur to operate,¡± said Yadav to HT. Meena alias Amit came in contact with the gang members in Gangapur City town of Sawai Madhopur district.
Reportedly, the gang has confessed to having committed at least 36 crimes and the members were recruited in July. The six robbers have been identified as Nandram Meena, Lakhan Meena, Indraj Bairwa, Salman Khan, and Khalil of Karauli district and Kapil Meena of Sawai Madhopur district.
