A Woman From Andhra Pradesh Has Built A Temple For Her Late Husband, Offers Prayers At His Idol
The story of a woman from Andhra Pradesh has gone viral after videos of her performing prayers at the statue of her late husband were circulated on social media. The woman identified as Padmavathi a resident of Nimmavanam village of Podili mandal in Prakasam district was seen offering prayers at a temple.
They say that love never dies, and this woman is proving it with her life.
The story of a woman from Andhra Pradesh has gone viral after videos of her performing prayers at the statue of her late husband were circulated on social media.
The woman, identified as Padmavathi, a resident of Nimmavanam village of Podili mandal in Prakasam district was seen offering prayers at a 'temple' which has the statue of her late husband Gurukula Anki Reddy.
According to local media, Reddy died in a car accident in 2017.
Though the tragedy left her and her children in a state of shock, Padmavathi decided to preserve her husband's memory in the form of a statue.
The bust-size statue was made of marble and was installed at a 'temple' constructed in his memory.
According to reports, Padmavathi offers prayers at her husband's statue.
Padmavathi said that now even others in the village offer prayers at the temple for their well-being.
Other than building a temple, Padmavathi also keeps her husband's memories cherished by distributing free food to the needy on Saturdays, Sundays and on full moon days.
Last year, in a similar incident, a businessman from Tamil Nadu's Madurai had installed a life-sizes statue of his wife following her death.
