Two months later, Pakistan's streak of ceasefire violations, and the Uri attacks in which 18 jawans were martyred, for which Pakistan was held responsible, permanently changed India's bilateral relationships.
BSF rangers traditionally offer sweets and greetings to Pakistani Rangers on major religious festivals like the Eid and Diwali. However, during the past 2-3 years, the border guarding forces on either side have not exchanged sweets on a few occasions.
