Provoking an adult gaur despite warnings
IFS officer Parveen Kaswan shared on X that despite receiving a warning, someone provoked an adult gaur, putting everyone nearby in danger. What happened next was expected but still frightening 每 the animal chased the man and eventually threw him into the air. Fortunately, the video ends with the man fleeing from the scene.
Kaswan posted on X, "This person even after warning provoked an adult Guar - putting everybody in danger. Gaur went into a residential area."

Don't breach the distance from wildlife, says IFS officer
The officials were able to reach the scene just on time and rescued the animal.
"With much difficulty though. Don*t provoke wildlife unnecessarily. It is dangerous," said Kaswan.
The man in the video too was indeed very lucky and was able to run away from the scene.
Officer Kaswan stated, "Every wildlife has a safe distance. When you breach that, they feel threatened. And animals like gaurs are neurotic, they behave in confusing way. Which results in injury to wildlife and public. In above case our teams were able to conduct the rescue operation in crowded surrounding without any major injury to anybody."
The Gaur: Vulnerable on IUCN Red list
The gaur, also referred to as the Indian bison, is a bovine species indigenous to South Asia and Southeast Asia. Since 1986, it has been categorised as "Vulnerable" on the IUCN Red List.
This magnificent animal is larger than any other wild cattle, reaching a shoulder height of 1.8 meters (6 feet) or more.
It possesses a heavy body, often with blue eyes, distinctive curved horns, a prominent ridge on the front of the back, and white markings on its legs resembling "stockings."
