¡°To highlight our respect for Modi and our belief in his work, I have planned to build a temple named after him. It will be set up on a 5 acre land that has already been purchased in Sardhana. The stone laying ceremony will be performed on October 23 and efforts are being made to invite BJP president Amit Shah for the event,¡± said Singh

Singh, who was last posted in Muzaffarnagar and retired on September 30 this year, has been running a trust for over two years, which he says will be a major contributing factor as far as the money is concerned. ¡°After completing over 30 years of government service, I want to now dedicate my life to the needy and poor by working for social welfare. Taking a step in this direction, I have decided to build a Modi temple here,¡± he said.
The retired government employee said that he has already purchased the 5 acre plot in Sardhana and that he has liquid cash of Rs 20 lakh to get the work started. The remaining amount, he said, will be contributed by Modi supporters. ¡°This will also open tourism avenues in Meerut.¡±
